Ms. Peralta

Rocklin High

“The new school year is starting in a few weeks and I’m so excited to welcome approximately 200 freshmen and sophomores to the 2012-13 school year! This will be my second year of teaching, but for the first time I’ll have my very own classroom. In the past, I shared classrooms with veteran teachers who already had plenty of materials they could share with me. This year, I’m starting from scratch and would greatly appreciate your help in obtaining classroom supplies.

I teach 9th and 10th grade English at Rocklin High School - roll thunder!”

Your contribution will help Ms. Peralta get essential resources for students, including those below:

Throughout college, I used sticky notes to annotate the text and enhance my reading comprehension. I did this in order to track my understanding, record questions, and add additional notes. It not only helped me better understand the text and excel in the course, it was also handy when I planned on selling back books.

I would love to teach this skill to my students, especially since the majority of them describe themselves as college-bound. However, I cannot accomplish this goal without the materials to do so. Learn more »

I have 40 whiteboards which I purchased with my own money for my classroom, but the black dry-erase markers that came with them are drying out. Students love doing activities with their own personal whiteboards - it's a nice change from binder paper, EVERYONE participates, and it allows me to instantly assess what they know. Learn more »
