Ms. Brown

Trojan Elem

“My name is Jana Brown and I have been teaching in Osawatomie, Kansas for 21 years. Osawatomie is my hometown and I am proud to be a teacher here. Like all schools, we have been hit with major budget cuts and classroom supplies are limited. I teach science for our four 5th grade classes and often do not have the materials I need. With the new science standards, there are many items that will be necessary to be able to successfully implement the curriculum. ”

Here is what we need

Your contribution will help Ms. Brown get essential resources for students, including those below:

Classroom Supplies

Paper, scissors, tape, rulers, erasers, glue, pencils -- classroom supplies are the fuel for learning in every classroom. Many students do not come to school with the necessary supplies. Please help us get these essentials.

Science Books

Students are so curious about the world around them. Science books help them make sense of it all.

Supplementary Books

These books help keep my students engaged and learning! These books reinforce what we learn in class by providing fun and challenging activities.

Biology Equipment and Supplies

Models and various consumable supplies for science experiments are needed.

Chemistry Equipment and Supplies

All of the supplies needed to teach chemistry. Examples include chemicals, pipets, graduated cylinders, goggles, gloves, etc…

Safety Equipment and Supplies

We want all our students to be safe when they are doing experiments. Safety goggles are a must!

Elementary Science Resources

The products and supplies needed to teach the new standards for my 5th grade science students.

Physics Equipment

Products and models to teach physics concepts to students. Materials to teach properties of matter and force and motions.

Career Technical Education & STEM

Equipment and supplies to teach STEM and prepare students for STEM related careers. Examples include: microscopes, calculators, K’Nex, robotics, consumable supplies like craft sticks, etc...
