YMCA of Northern Utah is proud to support our schools
893 24th Street, Suite 200
Ogden UT 84401

The Y in Utah serves inner city youth in afterschool programs yearly. Our focus is "Healthy Living", "Youth Development" and "Social Responsibility". We strive to enrich the lives of all. We provide programming for youth and adults through academic enrichment along with social and emotional prevention programs and classes. We partner extensively with local schools and hold programs in the schools so the youth don't have to leave their familiar surroundings and parents are relieved knowing their child/children are in a safe and familiar environment daily and they don't have to jeopardize their own work to worry about where or what their child is doing. Our goal is to make our program the best part of a youth's day through programmatic and personal interactions. We strive for a 1 staff to 12-15 ratio so that these youth are receiving the best mentoring and attention they need. We also make it a part of our program to give back to the community that provides for them. Being a non-profit, budgets are low and with the population we serve, money is tight. School, art, personal, and office supplies are greatly needed. We could use almost anything! Thanks for your consideration.

We love to have organizations and individuals come into our programs to volunteer. Since we offer academic enrichment, we always need tutors and mentors to read and work with the youth. We also encourage anyone with specialized skills to come in to offer classes or projects in the field of expertise. We love to see the interaction of people and our groups. We have so much to offer and they have so much to give whether in a big way or small way. We love volunteers!
